Germany: Natural Cosmetics Conference 2012

The Natural Cosmetics Conference on 25 and 26 September 2012 will once again present a multi-faceted program. For the second time, the conference at the Ellington Hotel Berlin offers the entire beauty trade an international platform for intensive networking and the discussion of current trade topics. “Natural“ has become part of the entire beauty market. Whether natural cosmetics will continue to influence the cosmetics market depends on several factors.


Aside from current market data and facts, interesting discussion forums, expert discussions, trend reports and Best Practice examples will be on the conference agenda. For the first time participants will be offered two focal points: Forum A will center on the international market and retail. Forum B will focus on questions concerning procurement, research, development and the commodity market. This years´ key note speakers will reflect on the topic of sustainability from two points of view: Michael J. Kolodziej, board member dm-drogerie markt, will present the topic as a holistic, strategic business concept. Based on his Cradle to Cradle concept, Prof. Dr. Michael Braungart, founder and scientific manager of EPEA Internationale Umweltforschung GmbH, demonstrates that intelligent and eco-efficient design can lead to new impulses for the entire beauty trade.

The topic „What Consumers Really Expect“ puts the requirements of consumers in the focus of several contributions and discussion forums: Why are there so many occasional buyers? What keeps them from becoming loyal natural cosmetics customers? What do they expect at the POS? The conference will also address issues of consumer protection; experts and representatives of European politics have been invited. Central questions for future market development are: How much regulation is needed? How can consumers more easily discern natural cosmetics? In conjunction with these conference contributions the Natural Cosmetics Conference 2012 will put an additional focus on consumer issues by centering on the topic of shoppermarketing: What is the significance of the POS? Why is shoppermarketing a relevant aspect today and how is a targeted introduction of consumers to natural cosmetics possible?
 

Industry insiders and all interested in the growing market of natural cosmetics may look forward to an interesting conference. The platform is directed to decision makers of the entire beauty trade. Aside from the conference program, many opportunities for discussions and international networking will be offered. On the day prior to the conference, the organizer is offering a 4-hour Trend Tour in Berlin. Participants may discover innovative natural cosmetics shop concepts at different hotspots of the capital city on 24 September 2012 from 2 – 6 pm.
