USA: Ribus celebrates 20 years

Ribus, based in the St. Louis area in the USA, is the global leader in rice-based alternatives to chemistry lab-sounding ingredients. The company celebrates 20 years of operations this summer. Named the 2011 Missouri Agriculture Exporter of the Year last January, the company produces non-genetically modified natural, organic, and gluten-free rice-based ingredients for leading global producers in the food, beverage, and dietary supplement sectors.

 

Ribus’ global sales of rice extracts and rice concentrates have increased consistently over the years despite the recession, often with double to triple digit annual growth increases. Strict regulations and global consumer interest in non-GMO, organic, gluten-free, natural, kosher, hypoallergenic, and vegan products have fueled the growth. Ribus supplies its ingredients in more than 40 countries with distribution offices in 18 of them. They are primarily located in North America, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region. Approximately 40 % of all Ribus ingredients are certified organic, making up the fastest growing segment of the company’s products.
