UK: Riverford Organic's sales still rising

The sales of Riverford Organic's festive food rose by an average of 38 %, Peterborough Today reports. Turkey sales increased by 31 % compared to the same time last year, and mince pies showed a 20 % increase. Riverford had also doubled the availability of its “everything but the turkey” Christmas hampers. Despite extra stock, the new product with festive vegetables, clementines, mince pies, stilton, cranberry sauce and Christmas pudding was sold out by the beginning of December. 

Riverford Organic was named the Best Independent Retailer in the Food category of the RSPCA Good Business Awards this year, as well as the Best Online Retailer 2011 at the Observer Ethical Awards.  More information is available here: Peterborough Today
