Whole Foods Market has announced the opening of a new 27,000 square-foot (2,500 square meters) store in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, UK. This was the grocer’s fourth new store announcement in recent months following Giffnock scheduled to open in November 2011; and Fulham Broadway and Richmond upon Thames opening in 2013. The new store in Cheltenham will open in autumn 2012 just outside of Cheltenham town centre and include an outdoor seating area, a bakery, and a full service butchery counter. Whole Foods Market’s natural remedies department, Whole Body, will also feature. About 150 new full and part-time jobs will be created.

Whole Foods Market currently runs 300 stores in USA, Canada and the UK. The five of stores in the UK are located in London - in Camden, Clapham Junction, Kensington, Soho and Stoke Newington. 44 stores are in development worldwide.
