Italy: International library launched by AIAB

AIAb has launched their first international library in an organic territory. BiBlio is located in Ceraso, Salerno in the organic district Cilento. AIAB Campania has long promoted the sustainable development of the BioDistretto Cilento, and the opening of the new library came as a natural move, because development is in close relation with knowledge and ancient rural tradition. BiBlio will promote the values of culture and environment through education, reading and reflection.
 
The library is seen as an effective medium to make the knowledge about organics and everything that goes with them available to the public. To spread the organic word through education, AIAB has also planned public events there, like lectures for children and adults, held by the protagonists and narrators of rural life. In accordance with the concept of development through a network, which characterises the organic district, the library will also launch in a digital form:  copyright-free books and publications will be available for download online soon.
