Berlin: Lavera Showfloor 2011

Since September 2009, Laverana and Lavera Natural Cosmetics have been collaborating closely with Dr. Karl Rainer von der Ahè from Catwalk Enterprises, who had the idea of this different fashion show. The Lavera Showfloor has succeeded in establishing itself as Berlin's "Green" catwalk and has become a cultural event, characterized by its openness and professional presentations.

For the first time D. Machts School, a renowned team of hair dressers, was responsible for the hair styling for all shows except that of Nanna Kuckuck, which engaged Udo Walz for this purpose. Lavera Natural Cosmetics, which gave the catwalk its name, created the make-up for the models. On three evenings a total of thirteen shows were presented, which delighted the visitors with their diversity. This also marked the career start for six models who had been cast in advance.

The concept: Eco fashion is figure-hugging, trendy and sexy and offers everything one knows and expects from the world of fashion. But the labels presented at the Lavera Showfloor also put sustainability into the main focus of their creations: they emphasize local handicraft or manufacturing, choose only the shortest transportation routes, avoid CO² emissions and use only materials which are from certified organic cultivation.
