Kalamata-based olive producer Bläuel has received various recognitions again, demonstrating that it is possible to run a healthy and ethical business in Greece, which can contribute to take the country out of the crisis. Bläuel's olive oil was favourably judged by Mr. Marco Oreggia, virgin and extra virgin olive oil taster, journalist and wine-and-food critic, and was included in his "Guide to the world best extra virgin olive oils, FLOS OLEI 2011". In April 2011, Bläuel received a Grand Mention at the Oil China 2011 competition for their Organic Mani Bläuel extra virgin olive oil.

The Test Center Food of the DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft – German Agricultural Society) has awarded a Gold Medal to Friedrich Bläuel’s olive oil. The producer impressed the expert jury with their extra virgin oil in Germany’s major quality test. The jury certified that the award-winning product displayed not only high quality, but also outstanding enjoyment value. Altogether, the edible oil experts at DLG tested 106 oils. TerraOlivo in Israel awarded the same oil with a prestige gold award.

Two prestigious mentions of honour were received at Monocultivaroliveoil.Expo 2011: Dinasty of the Year 2011 for the company, and gold for their USA brand, LAPAS organic extra virgin olive oil, at the olive oil tasting at the expo. Awarded for the second time by the Greek magazine Gourmet, Bläuel also confirms the quality of its products in Greece as well as abroad again. Last year their mixed olives got the gourmet award, this year the winning product is their Kalamata Olives Paste.
