The 21st Annual Winter Conference "Regenerative & Resilient Food Systems: Sowing New Seeds" of the Northeast Organic Food Association of New Jersey (NOFA-NJ) will take place on January 29 to 30, 2011. This year, NOFA-NJ is expanding their conference to accommodate the increasing interest in sustainable food and agriculture in New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania. Partnering with Princeton Environmental Institute enables the association to bring a new location and many new speakers and topics.

For the first time this year, there will be a NOFA-NJ Kids' Conference, which will be held annually in the future. In partnership with NJ Farm-to-School, the Kids' Conference will provide hands-on workshops for kids ages 6-12 all day long. Workshops will be led by expert educators in the fields of food, cooking, gardening, agriculture, and science. Conference events include Vertical Gardens, Homemade Scents, Taste Tests, Supermarket Spy Kids, and Worm Composting for Kids. NJ Farm-to-School Network seeks to improve school food by promoting locally grown food and educating students through school gardens.
