Canada: Portico’s organic bed and bath items at Sears

Sears Canada is offering extensive bed and bath collections by eco-friendly home fashions brand Portico Home + Spa both in-store and online. The basic and fashion bedding lines include sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases, and coverlets made with organic cotton in addition to decorative and functional cushions and mattress pads covered in organic cotton fabric and filled with Lyocell Down, a hypoallergenic blend of down and lyocell fibers from eucalyptus trees. Soft and absorbent bath towels and rugs round out the setting.

The collections are available in six colors inspired by nature: earth, sand, sun, sprout, sky and cloud. All cotton-containing products are processed according to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). Sears Canada launched the Portico Home + Spa program in March 2010 with the fashion bedding and the bath collection, and added the basic bedding line in September based on the success of the original launch. The products are sold in 50 Sears Canada stores including five stores-within-a-store in Calgary, Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. In the spring of 2011, the program will be rolled out all Sears Canada department stores nationwide.
