This year, Organics Brasil brings two important foreign institutions to BioFach América Latina to discuss the international markets and business opportunities for Brazilian products, like palm oil and ingredients for cosmetics, for example. Ming Liu (picture), executive coordinator, and Eduardo Caldas, manager of Organics Brasil, welcome the executive director of IFOAM, Markus Arbenz; and the director of Organic Group in the region Rhône-Alpes in France to hold a seminar on the international panorama of the organic market and about export opportunities.
The Organics Brasil Project took part in international fairs in the USA, Canada, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, China, Japan and the United Arab Emirates. The project brought more than 30 international clients to Brazil, held promotion activities in sales points in the North American market, and set up export partnerships. In 2005, Organics Brasil had 12 participating companies and an export volume of US$ 9.5 million. In 2010, 74 companies were part of the organisation and an export volume of US$ 44.3 million was achieved.
