Germany: Fa!r Procura 2010

Fa!r Procura, the large European event on Fair Trade Public Procurement will take place at Dortmund Westfalenhalle, Germany, on 24 September 2010. It will bring together all the stakeholders to share information and discuss with high level European experts. The Fa!r Procura 2010 conference will emphasise how Fair Trade procurement can help public authorities to support sustainable development and make a change for marginalised producers and workers from developing countries.   
 

Interactive sessions with high level speakers on FTPP from all over Europe will take place, as well as workshops focusing on specific aspects of FTPP such as food (catering, canteens etc.), textiles (clothing, uniforms etc.) and legal issues (do’s and don’ts). A session is dedicated to the particular FTPP issues in the EU member states where Fair Trade awareness is low. A draft of the detailed conference programme (with speakers) can be found here.
