CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers) certified Equator Estate Coffee & Teas, Inc. Has announced it is the first food company to launch a storefront on Facebook, allowing consumers to shop for its organic, fair-trade, and Rainforest Alliance-certified coffees without leaving the social media site. As CCOF reports, the California-based coffee roaster, tea purveyor, and coffee farm owner sells micro-lot coffees and rare teas to restaurants, hotels, and retailers. The company has said it is using iFanStore technology provided by Milyoni to allow fans to stay within Equator's Facebook page during the entire transaction and then to share their activity with friends across a wide range of social networks including Twitter.

"Social media is rapidly becoming a critically important vehicle for talking with our customers," said Helen Russell, CEO and co-founder of Equator. "Now, with our new iFanStore, we've opened up an entirely new sales channel for our seasonal, specialty blends." Visit Equator Coffee and Tea iFanStore. CCOF certified members who sell their organic products online also have the opportunity to market their organic products through the eBay World of Good marketplace, according to CCOF. World of Good is an online marketplace that promotes and sells products that have been certified by a third-party agency. CCOF is a World of Good Trust Provider, which allows their certified members to post their products on the website with an affiliation to the CCOF seal and verified Trust Provider status.
