UK: Fairtrade Fortnight – the big swap

The Fairtrade Fortnight will take place in Great Britain from February 22 to March 7, 2010. This year's theme is „The big swap“. For two whole weeks the Fairtrade Foundation asks to swap the usual items for Fairtrade items -  usual bananas for Fairtrade bananas,  usual cotton socks for Fairtrade cotton socks, and the usual tea for a Fairtrade tea.
 

This year the theme is swapping but the goal is always the same: to get people talking and buying Fairtrade. The campaigns rely on people to get involved and to spread the word about unfair trade systems. A list of events for the Fortnight is available here
