GM Watch website re-launched

GM Watch has just launched their new website. The new site replaces an older version which was forced off the web by cyber attacks more than a year ago. GM Watch has been at the forefront of a worldwide campaign against GM food and plants, and the new site comprises detailed documentation on all areas of the subject. Described by environmental campaigner George Monbiot as the world's most comprehensive database on the impacts and the politics of genetically engineered crops, the website includes an archive of news and analysis of almost a decade of GM Watch’s daily, weekly and monthly list serves as well as material translated into foreign languages.

GM Watch founder Jonathan Matthews commented that their campaign and this site were all about busting the myths about GM crops. The truth was that this was a technology surrounded by risks and uncertainties, and the website was the place for those who wanted to look behind the propaganda and exaggerations of GM, as to be read on GM Watch. Vice Editor of GM Watch, Claire Robinson, said that the new GM Watch Website, together with GM Watch Spinprofiles and the BanGMFood campaign, had been an enormous tasks to handle, and the thanked all campaigners assisting the process, as well as all the volunteers helping bringing the archive to the new site.
