Organic Monitor: New Natural Cosmetics Masterclass

by Redaktion (comments: 0)

Organic Monitor has launched its first-ever Natural Cosmetics Masterclass in Southern Europe. It will take place in Bologna, on September 12, alongside Sana. This new Masterclass critically reviews the various natural & organic cosmetic standards and assesses the business opportunities in this emerging industry. It is geared at organisations looking to expand in the natural & organic cosmetics market by providing technical guidance on standards and highlighting business growth opportunities.

The first workshop, titled Assessment of Natural & Organic Cosmetic Standards, looks at the practical implications of adopting standards. Representatives from ICEA (Cosmos) and NaTrue will kick-off the workshop by giving an update of their standards. Precise details will be given of the finalised Cosmos standard as well as NaTrue. The workshop leader will then make a comparative assessment of these and other major standards in Europe, North America and other regions. Standards to be critically reviewed include Cosmos, NaTrue, ICEA, Ecocert, Soil Association, BDiH, NSF, OASIS, NPA, IBD, etc. A critical review will be undertaken of the formulation, ingredient & technical issues when adopting these standards. Practical advice will be given to companies looking at the certification route.

The second workshop is titled Growth Opportunities in the Global Natural Cosmetics Market. This workshop analyses the global market for natural & organic cosmetics, showcasing the leading regional and country markets. The major market developments are highlighted: product & ingredient trends, market drivers & restraints, retailing issues, and consumer trends. The competitive landscape is described, with case studies given of companies who are successfully riding the natural & organic wave. The final part of the workshop gives future growth projections, emphasising the business openings to existing operators and new entrants. The Masterclass has limited seats (capacity of 50), so delegates are invited to book early to avoid disappointment. More Information is available here
