Australia: Organic Expo featuring the Green Show

by Redaktion (comments: 0)

The Organic Expo returns to Carlton Gardens, Victoria from 24 to 26 July 2009 with over 200 exhibitors from across Australia and overseas taking part. Now in its fifth year, the show continues to be a focal point in the Organic industry’s annual calendar, providing the only opportunity in Oceania for traders and consumers to experience what’s new and hot, on such a scale. As Andre Leu, World Board Member of IFOAM states, “The Organic Expo plays a crucial role in allowing producers and traders to access the rapidly growing Australasian and South Pacific markets. This region offers enormous opportunities for organic and environmental businesses. IFOAM is proud to support The Organic Expo.”

The Organic Expo will present an exciting range of entertainment and treats for everyone like a 150 seat demonstration stage, an organic kids fun zone, an organic vineyard, the 2008 Organic Expo Award winners and the 2008 Australia/New Zealand Organic Wine show display. The demonstration stage will host a huge program of practical demonstrations, seminars and panel discussions from celebrities and industry professionals who are keen to share their knowledge and passion.  Renowned chefs Kylie Kwong & Tobie Puttock will also be there to cook. The entire seminar program is published on the Organic Expo website.

The Organic Wine Show at the expo is dedicated to judging and showcasing the diversity, originality and quality of certified organic wines from Australia and New Zealand, in turn helping the organic wine sector carve a larger niche for itself in the wine trade, and in the knowledge base of wine connoisseurs. Over 100 wine entries are expected in the 2009 show and will be judged by leading wine professionals including Chief Judge Max Allen, Australia’s most widely published wine writer and author of many books on wine.
