Whole Foods Market – new store in Chicago

Whole Foods Market opened a new 75,000-square-foot store (almost 7000 m²) in Chicago on May 20. This store, a relocation of the existing Lincoln Park location on Sheffield and North Aves., provides Lincoln Park and surrounding-area residents an even greater selection of natural and organic foods in a convenient and contemporary setting. The store is designed to feel like a gathering of “boutiques within a store” to offer customers a more intimate and inviting shopping experience. With restaurant-quality prepared foods and the convenience of one-stop grocery shopping, the store features a number of unique and enticing elements chosen specifically with the Lincoln Park community in mind - with an homage to Chicago throughout. Highlights include six food venues.
 

Ath this Chicago location, more than 200 varieties of seasonal and local produce, at least 100 of which are certified organic, with an emphasis on local, more than 200 varieties of natural and organic cheeses, more than 50 varieties of fresh seafood and shellfish, all harvested from sustainable practices, a choice of custom-cut meats, freshly baked artisan breads, cookies, pastries, muffins and other flavorful baked goods made from scratch, and a selection of olives, handcrafted butters and cheeses are available. A vast array of vegetarian and vegan choices is available as well as a large selection of natural body care items and cosmetics, nutritional supplements and vitamins, a make-up station and a selection of fresh-cut flowers and plants.

Essential grocery staples, including Whole Foods Market’s own 365 Everyday Value and 365 Organic Everyday Value signature lines of products are also offered. 30 register lanes are in the store, and 400 parking spaces are available.
