BioBenessere: Organic products in America, Russia and Japan

Organic products from Italy were displayed internationally - a wide range of the best food and agricultural products from Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese to traditional balsamic vinegar, from extra virgin olive oil to pasta and from rice to honey could be seen simultaneously in America, Russia and Japan. The initiative was part of the “BioBenessere” three-year project promoted by Pro.B.E.R., the association of organic producers that unites the most important Italian manufacturers.
 

In New York, an important event on the current situation and on perspectives of organic products in the USA and in Europe was held. At the same time, “BioBenessere” was also present in Moscow where it participated in Prodexpo, the most important food trade fair of Eastern Europe, aiming at presenting Italy’s organic products to the Russian market, which is currently recording a growing interest for organics. Moving even further east, the project promoted by Pro.B.E.R. also landed in Tokyo, where it was taking part in the Super Market Trade Show, the most important Japanese fair dedicated to the retail trade and sales of food. “BioBenessere” also presented a wide range of organic products there like rice, honey, crushed tomatoes and tomato sauces, extra virgin olive oil, pasta, fruit nectars, legumes, chocolate and traditional balsamic vinegar.
 

According to the president of Pro.B.E.R., Paolo Carnemolla, the initiatives in Japan, the United States and in Russia made it possible to start up new sales contacts and to meet directly with consumers who were interested in knowing more about the quality of organic products. He added that Pro.B.E.R. was an important reference point for international projects that could make it possible for the organic sector to take a further step forward.
