Vivaness: Natrue and Cosmos honorary sponsors
At the Vivaness press conference, Petra Wolf from the management of NürnbergMesse announced that in future the two natural cosmetics associations Cosmos and Natrue will be the honorary sponsors of Vivaness. Klara Ahlers, the president of Natrue, said how pleased she was that the long cooperation at advisory board level had become joint sponsorship. The fact that Cosmos has a joint stand at Vivaness for the first time this year and has become an honorary sponsor of the trade fair is regarded by Harald Dittmar, managing direct of BDIH, as a sign.
Looking back at the last ten years, Petra Wolf said: “At that time, in 2007, the time was ripe to inaugurate a separate natural cosmetics trade fair.” She added that the resulting specialist fair has developed well: “This year, we’ve got 245 exhibitors at Vivaness – a new record. For the first time you’ll find the two joint stands of Natrue and Cosmos and, of course, a wealth of innovations."
Dr. Auma Obama, anticipating her keynote speech at the official opening of BioFach and Vivaness, explained her approach to natural cosmetics. She said she is well known for her critical questions and therefore she is preoccupied by the question of how raw materials from the countries in the south can be manufactured and traded, firstly from an economic and secondly from an ecological point of view. She said she wanted at all costs to avoid a new colonialism – “bio colonialism". So she regarded it as important to create awareness in the countries in the south that people there have many forms of treasure. She said that they had to value home-grown and home-made products much more.
