The generational change in the upper management levels of Rapunzel continues. Two daughters of company founder Joseph Wilhelm, Seraphine Wilhelm and Rosalie Dorn, are promoted to department heads at the natural food producer from Legau in the German Allgäu region. This was announced by Rapunzel on Tuesday.

As head of department, Seraphine Wilhelm is in charge of marketing as well as the future visitor centre with organic supermarket and gastronomy. She thus takes over from Heike Kirsten, who relinquished the marketing management last year for health reasons and passed away in March 2020.

Seraphine Wilhelm started her professional career with an apprenticeship as a wholesale and export merchant at Rapunzel. She then gained professional experience in the event sector and in gastronomy and completed a Master's degree in "Business Administration". From 2018, she supported the Rapunzel management as an assistant.

Her sister Rosalie Dorn is the head of department responsible for controlling, financial accounting and processes. "This position has been newly created," Rapunzel informs BioHandel upon request. So far, the teams have been led by Margit Epple, who is responsible for finance, human resources, logistics, production and quality assurance in the management.

Rosalie Dorn started as an intern at Rapunzel. Her bachelor's thesis was the trigger for the company's first sustainability report, and to this day she coordinates the interdepartmental exchange on this as sustainability officer. After her Master's degree, she worked for an international auditing firm and gained experience in the area of processes and IT. From 2019, she supported the commercial management at Rapunzel.

Rapunzel takes the promotion of the sisters as an opportunity to reaffirm that the company will remain in family hands with the next generation. In 2017, all five children of the company founder became shareholders. Since 2019, son Leonhard Wilhelm has been responsible for the areas of sales, raw materials trading, private label as well as purchasing and securing raw materials as managing director.

Rapunzel Naturkost GmbH employs more than 430 people. Rapunzel's approximately 550 products are available in natural food shops and health food shops throughout Europe and worldwide.
